Sound designer autodidacte, Yosi HORIKAWA consacre depuis l'âge de 12 ans, le plus clair de son temps et de son talent à triturer les sons de toutes sortes. Ne se donnant aucune limites dans ses envies d'explorations accoustiques, il mélange les genres, les styles et les instruments pour nous plonger dans un univers singulier. Le caractère éclectique de ses influences musicales, nous a immédiatement séduit. (Jack DeJohnette & Lester Bowie, Pete Rock ou encore DJ premier...). Ce jeune producteur use ses samplers sur les bancs d'une école où electro, jazz, hip hop et musique expérimentale n'ont pas peur de se côtoyer. "Skipping" le morceau qu'il produit pour "Eklektik 2 sides" est une petite merveille de finesse et d'inventivité. For our second opus, we welcome you to the land of the Rising Sun. Yosi HORIKAWA is a self-taught sound designer who, from the age of 12, has spent most of his time and talent manipulating and grinding up all sorts of sounds. He puts no limits to his longings for acoustic explorations and mixes different genres, styles and instruments in order to plunge the audience into his very personal musical world. The eclecticism of his influences (Jack DeJohnette & Lester Bowie, Pete Rock ou encore DJ premier...) immediately appealed to us. When this young producer uses his samplers, electro, jazz, hip hop and experimental music rub shoulders with each other in the most natural way.
