2003 年晩くに、 Ivyrise が結成された。フロントマンのベンジー (Ben Flinski ) とクロ (Paul Cronin) によって、 2008 年春に差し迫るアルバムデビューの種が蒔か れたのだ。明るいメロディーラインのピアノ の旋律で紡がれた一連のロック楽曲中の最初 の曲、「 Stuck Beneath The Ice 」が創られた。舞い上がる様なギター音が伴 い、ベンジーとクロの間に結束が生まれ、 Ivyrise サウンドがひとつの形になった。

In late 2003 Ivyrise was created. Fronted by Ben Falinski and Paul Cronin the seeds for 2008 ’ s impending debut album were sown. “ Stuck Beneath The Ice ” , the first in a line of rich melodic piano-driven rock songs was created. 元気な UK ポップ・ロックの伝統では典型的なエネルギ ッシュで心温まる楽曲を書き重ねる間、 2006 年にドラムのライアム (Liam Malson ) が Ivyrise に加わり、２ピースから３ピースになった。 ロンドンでのライブをこなし、 2007 年、オリバー (Oliver Patterson) がバスギターとして加わり、 Ivyrise のラインナップが出揃った。 2007 年 5 月、 Stage Records のマシュー・ブラウン (Matthew Brown ,,によってスカウトされる。 Ivyrise は、彼らにとって初となるレコーディング契 約を交わし、クラ・シェーカー (Kula Shaker) とツアーを共にした。

Having written an array of energetic and heartfelt songs typical of the strong Pop/Rock tradition in the UK the two became three when Liam Malson joined Ivyrise on drums in 2006. A string of London gigs followed and when Oliver Patterson was added on bass guitar in 2007 the Ivyrise line-up was complete. Having been scouted by Stage Records ’ Matthew Brown in May 2007, Ivyrise signed their first recording contract and went on the road with Kula Shaker

Ivyrise は、 2008 年 4 月、 Stage Records よりリリースされるファーストシングル「 Tips 」でデビュー予定。ロンドンで Paul Simm がプロデュースするこのシングルは、 2008 年後半にリリース予定のデビューアルバムに 期待を寄せるイギリス国民に Ivyrise を紹介することになる。 Ivyrise サウンドの典型となるこの楽曲には、キャッ チーな掴みと覚えやすい歌詞が詰められてい る。「 Tips 」は、ブリットミュージック好きに、新たに ハマるお気に入りバンドの紹介にフォーカス したこのバンドを知ってもらうのにピッタリ な曲だ。
