| Filippo Mistretta aka SUBMANTRA born to Ragusa in July 1980. He lives in Catania and Bologna.
In 1992 Filippo start the first Vinyl when he is 12 sweet years old,so started a a big professionality time.
In 2000 he start to producer of house,deep,soulful music and his path lead to ONE EYED FISH rec.
In Dicember 2006 out a first production with United peace voices edited by IRMA RECORDS.
In 2007 out 2 tracks (THE POWER & WHAT YOU GONNA DO IT) with Synestesya's house box compilation.
After arrive the first big single: ENERGY edited by NASCODISCO REC.
Energy is a very good deep track than have 7 special rmx by Guido Nemola,Santorini,Supabeatz,Sushiboy,Blockhead,Loaded
2008 out with "FASHION"remixed by DJ Umbi in THE JAZZ HOUSE INDIPENDENT 6th is a most famous compilation beacuse contain big name as At jazz,M-swift,Spirit catcher ecc..
17/07/2008 out new single GRATEFUL,the track contain 3 submantra's versions (Original,Deep and New York) and includes other 2 rmx:Conomor and Supabeatz rmx.

-----------------------------------Filippo Mistretta in arte SUBMANTRA nasce a Ragusa nel Luglio del 1980.
Vive a Vizzini una cittadina di collina in provincia di Catania
famosa perchè paese natale del noto scrittore Giovanni Verga.
Nel 1992 Filippo scopre la profonda attrazione che lo lega alla consolle
e comincia a far girare i primi vinili alla tenera età di soli 12 anni.
Da li inzia una lunga formazione professionale che lo porta a suonare nei migliori locali del Catanese e oltre,inoltre suona nelle migliori piste
house di discoteche e villaggi turistici calabresi proponendo nel tema delle sue
serate uno stile di house sempre molto elitario rendendo gli ambienti molto
eleganti e raffinati grazie alla Soulful alla Deep e alla Funkyhouse che esce dal suo bauletto.
Nel 2000 SUBMANTRA comincia quasi per gioco a fare il producer assieme
all'inseparabile collega Supabeatz,e così nel Marzo 2006 entra a far parte degli artisti della ONE EYED FISH e della IRMA RECORDS.
Nel Dicembre 2006 arriva la prima collaborazione e uscita con il
disco di United peace voice prodotto dalla IRMA RECORDS.
Nel 2007 due sue tracce (THE POWER & WHAT YOU GONNA DO IT) entrano in una compilation della SYNESTESYA che insieme al progetto BLOCKHEAD
vanno a completare un HOUSE BOX molto apprezzato.
Dopo qualche mese con la NASCODISCO REC. esce ENERGY un singolo dalle sonorità molto deep,mentre il B-side richiama un pò i suoni electro e minimali del momento,infatti i rmx portano le firme di: Guido Nemola,Supabeatz,Loaded,Santorini Sushiboy e Blockhhead.
Il 2008 si apre con l'uscita di un inedito "Fashion" nella famosissima compilation della IRMA rec. THE JAZZ HOUSE INDIPENDENT 6th che vede l'artista affiancarsi a grandi nomi come:M-Swift,Don Carlos,At jazz,Spirit Catcher,Bob Sinclair,ecc....la traccia è remixata da DJ Umbi che dona al pezzo un tocco di deep rispetto alla traccia originale che viaggia sull'onda jazz/house.
Il 17/07/2008 con la IRMA rec. esce GRATEFUL,il singolo contiene 3 versioni di Submantra: Original,Deep e New York mix ,inoltre include 2 rmx:Conomor con una versione R&B/70 e quella di Supabeatz nel suo inconfondibile stile elettronico.
Le versioni funzionano tutte molto bene tanto che la versione originale è 9° in alcune delle classifiche soulful britanniche.
Il 1 settembre 2008 esce con un rmx a Big mojo - As i feel my self,Submantra ritocca la la traccia di Ferioli (BIG MOJO) dando un tocco di eleganza espressa nella migliore deep house.
La prossima uscita di Submantra si avrà a Settembre 2008 con un rmx al singolo Sonido di DJ Umbi prodotto sempre dalla IRMA rec./
