No desfecho das batalhas castrejas, se a derrota nos assolasse, era chegada a hora de morrer com dignidade e consagrar este acto aos deuses. As nossas mães, para provocar a desejada morte, sorviam o forte veneno extraído da árvore de teixo. Arrojavam-se aos precipícios, lançavam-se às fogueiras ou imolavam-se com espadas. Retiravam a vida a si e aos seus filhos quando estava iminente a derrota, preferindo morrer em vez de serem levadas pelo inimigo para ulterior escravização. Não significava a morte, ou um prelúdio das trevas, mas antes o prelúdio da vida eterna - guerreiras coroadas de nobreza e glória, rumo às regiões solares e lunares das nossas crenças. É à Mãe Primordial e ao Teixo Sagrado que, pelo seu poder e pela sua força, devemos estas canções regenerativas e naturalistas – preservamos o culto da Mãe Primordial e o culto da Árvore Sábia, a Árvore da Vida. “Yew Poison” was inspired on the ritual death of the Callaecian women in Iron Age. At the outcoming of castros culture battles, if defeat assaulted us, it would be the time to die with dignity and consecrate this endeavour to the gods. Our mothers, to provoke their craved death, swallowed the strong poison extracted from the yew tree. They rashed into the precipices, flanged themselves into bonfires or sacrificed with swords. They took away their own life and their children's when defeat was imminent, preferring to die instead of being taken for predicted enslavement. This didn’t mean death, or a darkness prelude, but the prelude of the eternal life – female-warriors crowned by nobility and glory heading to the solar and lunar regions of our beliefs.
