| HI everyone, I'M David Gionfriddo and I thank you for dropping by..I'll tell you a little about me... I got started in music when I was really young and I wont whine and tell you that music is my life because it's pretty obvious . But it goes further than that. In fact, after I ate enough pasta to grow old enough I jumped on a plane for CALIFORNIA at the tender age of 19. "Here I come L.A." gonna go to the wild Sunset Strip, I kind of felt like PINOCCHIO in his fairytale. But wasn't quite so- I learned fast that you had to bust your ass to be able to be heard from a record company, and struggle to compete with 3 thousand other bands playing every night. So yeah, you reallllllly had to be not just good but great. My band was NO ALIBI and we did our part and played all over. The WHISKY A GO GO, GAZZARRI'S, SPICE, FM STATION- you name it; we did it - even if we didn't get signed we got the best out of it ......those were wild times. Played soccer with a bunch of rock stars like Ian Astbury and BILLY from the Cult , Steve JONES of SEX PISTOLS, Vivian Cambell and Joe Elliot from DEF LEPPARD, and Ozzy Osbourne? Well no, he would only jog around the field. Enough name dropping. Anyway, to get the most out of it- I left California to go out on tour with a band called ROME to celebrate my hometown....and played concerts all over. West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky and I can't remember but we played everywhere .....After countless gigs I got an urgent phone call in the middle of the night telling me that my dad was fading. So my beautiful wife at the time (Kristina) and I had to pack everything up and return to ROMA. Yeah- "WELCOME TO THE REAL WORLD DAVID.." But when music is your passion you start again from the beginning! And I did very well. I got signed to a major label here in Italy called SUGAR, got two singles out and stayed home. And my songs did very well! Then I worked as a songwriter and producer and much more for Italian stars like PATTY PRAVO including the record Nic UNIC. I love her and still thank her. Also had the pleasure of joining RETTORE on tour with the wildest crazy one , EDOARDO BENNATO "THE MAN" believe it or not! I joined a really famous boy band called "RAGAZZI ITALIIANI" and worked that for a while. I'll take the time now to thank all the fans out there who now are grown ups. We loved it. Got a taste of the good life and you all made us feel like cool popstars. I guess we were back then. Cool. So yes, I'm still rockin'yeahhhh with my band called D.I We have a new record out you can see it on my profile called ELECTRIC MOTION. I also collaborate with other artists- producing, writing and recording in the studio. I write music everyday of my life...it is what I do, it is who I am.
