| UPDATE FROM NIKKI, JUNE 2007: Dear Songbirds Followers, Friends and Artists, I am writing to let you all know that due to an overwhelming amount of work with my band Never the Bride and our Dame Shirley Bassey project, we are having to take a break from the show for a while. We are also looking at new venues as its time for a change we think. We will relaunch later this year with lots of fabulous artists. We are sorry to have to do this but rather than let the show suffer we feel that its best. Thank you to all of you that have supported the show so far, and of course to all the artists, you are an inspiration. Watch this space for news. Thank you Nikki Lamborn. Organiser of Songbirds Hosted by Never The Bride's lead singer Nikki Lamborn, Songbirds is a monthly night showcasing the finest female singer / songwriting talent that the world has to offer. The event takes place in the stunning Shakespearian Globe Theatre in The Bedford in Balham, one Sunday each Month. In this atmospheric setting you will be treated to a different line up each month of some of the most talented female singer songwriters around. The beautiful Globe Theatre, the outstanding talent of the performers, the great food and wine , all these combine to make Songbirds a unique event indeed. The night is broadcast live from The Bedford's web page www.thebedford.com so everyone around the world can enjoy this truly stunning night. Feel free to book a table in advance to avoid disappointment by calling 0208 682 8940. Doors open at 8.00pm, and Showtime is 8.30pm until 11.15pm. There is a late bar available until 12am. And all of this for only a fiver! All the artists featured are added to our friends list to give you the opportunity to sample a taster of what lies in store for you!
