| I live in the beautiful Florida Keys, where I enjoy my morning coffee by the warm, soft glow of the Caribbean sun! I live for this time, joined often by feisty lizards and other tropical creatures!I have lived here for the last couple of years, hailing from New York...I can truly appreciate the slower paced lifestyle that Key West offers.I am of German/Swedish descent, my mother is German, my father Swedish. I lived many of my childhood years in Germany, as well as a few years after highschool. I speak German when with family...ok..we speak half and half! :) We are from the Bavarian part of Germany, and I love to travel there whenever possible.I am currently finishing up a post graduate degree, will be finished in November of this year. I will more than likely be a "career student" as I enjoy learning immensely. My undergraduate work was in Business and Education,...I am now leaning towards Forensic Science/Psychology.I enjoy writing immensely, and shameful to say, do not devote enough quality time doing so. I aspire to publish in the next year, as I have a couple of projects I am currently working on.Lets see... I love to do anything outdoors, animals make my heart smile! I am an awesome cook...and I look for any reason to cook for friends and family. I love many different types of foods ranging from Middle Eastern, Indian, Spanish, Mexican, and I make an Italian pasta that will have you singing Pavarotti by the time you take your last bite! :)I enjoy working out,love to go to the movies, spending time with friends is very important to me, both nurturing old as well as making new!There is nothing better than a bike ride or taking a path into the unknown!I love the fact that this networking venue gives each of us the opportunity to connect with those whose paths we might never have crossed otherwise! So many people, from so many different places! How exciting is that!I love meeting people who have a zest for life and like to laugh. Books:Love mysteries! As a child Ellery Queen was simply one of my favorite mystery writers. Some of my favorite authors: Dean Koontz, Stephen King, Stephen Woodworth, a new novelist, Elizabeth Kostova who is promising to become one of our times greatest writers with her new novel, "The Historian" Read it if you get the chance! Especially for those who enjoy books that mix real history with fantasy, not to give too much away but this one deals with Vlad the Impaler! A Must read! Much of my time is now spent reading research books--most recently criminal profiling and how it pertains to forensic psychology...fun! |
