About Me |
Contact Box Generated from Myspace Gen The most important things to me are family, friends, and staying active and fit. I was born in Ft. Huachuca, Arizona (U.S.A.), and have been living and working in The Netherlands since May, 1992. Besides the U.S. and The Netherlands, I have also lived and worked in Cambridge, England, and Dublin, Ireland. Other countries I have visited are Norway, Germany, France, Belgium and Luxembourg. I like reading, music, fitness, films, and visiting friends. For me, myspace is all in good fun, and I am here for friends and networking, so be a friend and take the time to get to know me! NOTE: I am NOT here for dating NOR for serious relationships. So while these romantic messages I get from time to time can be flattering, keep in mind I will NOT answer them, nor will I respond to any of these overtures on Yahoo! or MSN, nor will I email anybody who sends me such a message. So please save yourself the time and effort, and don't send me these messages; my heart belongs to someone else. Thanks! ROTTING CHRIST: Astral Embodiment

(new version) created with QuizFarm.com The Werewolf is the symbol for Spiritual Paths. You have the soul of a wolf inside you, which makes you warm and caring to those you love. Strengths: Protection is a number one priority, and therefore you always gaurd the ones you love and keep tight bonds with your pack mates. Loyalty is strong within yourself, and you also expect it from the ones who are close to you. Flip Side: Even though you care for those you love deeply, if they betray you, anger races through your veins. The Werewolf, despite it's warm fun-loving personality, can also stand up for itself if need be. You would have no problem hiding your anger if something sets you off balance. Congratulations! You have a Werewolf inside! pic (c) Christy Grandjean aka GoldenWolfen Take this quiz ! What Zodiac Sign are you?? You are Cancer. Symbol: The Crab Ruling Planet: Moon Element: Water Cross/Quality: Cardinal Group: Emotional House Ruled: Fourth Polarity: Negative Opposite Sign: Capricorn Favorable Colors: White, Silver Lucky Gem: Pearls, Moonstones Key Body Part: Stomach / Breasts Period: June 22 - July 22 Intuitive, sensitive, responsive, aware, family/home oriented, shy, understanding, feeling, imaginative, dependable, conservative, loving, but can be moody, touchy, prickly, hostile Beauty As a Cancer, a Cardinal Water Sign, you love to care for the downtrodden and very often your own needs are overlooked. Your beauty routine, then, is likely minimal -- if anything. Lucky for you, Cancers have expressive eyes and cheekbones to die for! While your sparkling, emotive eyes, chiseled bone structure and womanly proportions make you the picture of the feminine urge to nurture, there's more to you than meets the eye! From the outside, you present yourself as a sensible caregiver -- whether you're a mother or not -- but underneath, you're an emotional and sexual woman. Your beauty is of the librarian-letting-her-hair-down variety. When you do allow yourself a decadent moment, you love to luxuriate in a bubble bath or slather on avocado facemasks and loofah yourself into oblivion. You prefer the classics -- pearls, pastel colors and tried-and-true products such as baby powder and witch hazel. Your beauty comes from your generosity, your sympathetic nature and your realistic self-image. It's when you open your arms to give the world a warm hug that you become an absolute knockout. Career Don't mistake a Cancer for an underachiever -- they're working it as much and as well as the next person, albeit in a subtle, low-key manner. The Crab's sensitive nature is readily apparent in business dealings, preferring a non-confrontational approach that protects them as well as those around them. Caution is the Cancerian's byword, lest they be forced to retreat into that handy-dandy shell. The Crab likes to lead, and as long as these folks are comfortable with their proscribed duties and their colleagues in the quest, they will probably succeed. As long as their emotions can be kept in check, Cancerians can create a space of harmony and happiness for all. This empathetic and intuitive quality also makes the Crab a natural nurturer and someone well suited to the caregiver role, whether it's as teacher, healer or protector. There are times, though, when even the Crab won't follow his good "medical" advice and can sorely benefit from creating a harder shell -- one can only take so much abuse! Those born under this Sign may not look like they're out to conquer the world, but in their own way, they're getting a lot of good done. Cancerians are very creative and love family, qualities that can lead to bliss in the workplace if properly merged. Think of an art therapist or family counselor, and you're talking the Crab's talk. A word of caution to co-workers: Don't cross the diligent Crab. Those pincers have some sharp claws! The Cancer office feels for all the world like home, with a couch for napping, a teapot for fixing something warm and soothing and favorite mementos all around. Crabs are the only ones who aren't clamoring for a spanking-new company car -- hey, that ten-year-old American sedan just got comfortable! The office is the Crab's favorite place for a business lunch, although a homey neighborhood spot is a close second. Cancerians are well suited as doctors, pharmacists, teachers, nutritionists, chefs, realtors -- anywhere they can feel truly useful. Fitness Of all the Signs in the Zodiac, Cancer is the most home-oriented. You'd rather stay in and work out to videos than go to the gym, especially if you can keep the same daily or weekly exercise routine. You excel in pulling people together to form teams for sports and games. You're the cheerleader who shies away from the spotlight in order to root your team on to victory. Fitness can easily be achieved when you're part of a team with a lot of spirit. Things like community baseball teams will do wonders for your sense of community and patriotism. Watch out for kidney problems, though. Be certain to drink a lot of water when there's danger of dehydration. Fashion Happiness is a sweater that has been your friend for years. Almost as attached to clothing as you are to your loved ones, you've spent years trying to bring back parachute pants, nehru jackets and jumpsuits. Some of these things may still be in your wardrobe, as will the most comfortable styles from every trend that catches your eye from now on. Even clad in the most traditional or comfortable of garb, you always keep an air of femininity about your wardrobe. Lace takes precedence over denim, and cargo pants are definitely out. One of the only things you spend haphazardly on is lingerie, from sports bras to sultry nighties. A favorite outfit might be a long, flowing skirt with a v-neck sweater and a raincoat. On warm days, beachwear and wraps with sandals are a must.Long necklaces and pretty jewelry makes any outfit complete. Pearls are a favorite, and any shade of green is a pleasure to don. You probably don't go much for makeup, unless it is soft and easy to manage. You might not even own a blow dryer, preferring to let your hair dry naturally and hang down over your shoulders. On busy or windy days, you may only pause to pull it back in a loose knot. Cancer prefers to dress for the comforts of home and isn't given to new trends, but you know how to look for the world outside. Friendship The Crab is likely to send you frequent invitations to dinner. Of course, they enjoy your company, but they love it when you come over and complement them on their house, decorations and excellent cooking skills. They make loyal friends, so long as you do nothing to betray their trust. If you can handle a super emotional pal who is likely to call you up and cry into the phone for no reason, you will have a devoted buddy who is just as likely to arm themselves with a box of tissues and come to your aid when you're feeling blue. Though the Crab would usually rather sit around the house tending the garden and organizing their bits of nostalgia, they will still occasionally be in the mood to go out for dinner and a movie. As a friend of a Cancer, you'll never need to worry about recording important events. Your favorite Crab will always be there with a camera. As your friendship grows, your Cancer buddy will likely invite you to family dinners as a matter of course. A Cancer who is hurt hurts deeply and for a long time, though, so take care with the fragile emotions of your friend. Romance Home is where the heart is for Cancer, a great nurturer and protector of family, home and tradition. This sign is ruled by the Moon, and the Crab's emotions often swing with the cycle of that shimmering orb. Catch that mood on an upswing, and you are likely to encounter a caring and devoted soul who can easily take the lead in romance. The strong-willed, persistent Crab will usually get its way, but that's not a bad thing, since it usually means being drawn into a shell, which is rife with carnal pleasures. As is natural to a Water sign, Cancer's moods can flow like a meandering river or rage like the highest seas. Either way, the Crab rewards brave sailors with a seductive nest in which to test many moods, feelings and emotions. Scarlett O'Hara, that great protector of Tara, must've been a Crab! They have an air of authority that prompts others to fall in line. Tiger's main interest is in following its ambitions -- and maintaining control. Ever on the side of right, Tigers will fight the good fight to the bitter end if the cause is worthy. Socially, Tigers experience mood swings and often feel things more intensely than others, the latter quality being both good and bad. They can react poorly under stress and are prone to emotional outbursts. This Sign's bristling sensitivity can send friend and foe running for cover. A lesson that Tigers would be well-served to learn is "moderation in all things." Once these cats can find their center and direct their considerable energies toward worthwhile endeavors (as opposed to racing through life), they will accomplish much. Also, a good friend of mine in Norway uploads a lot of good CD’s for me via a file sharing program, so I get to check out the new CD’s first to see if I like them, before buying them!Non-metal music I enjoy is stuff which is played on Radio IO Ambient (internet radio), and music by artists such as Sarah Brightman, Loreena McKennitt, Chip Davis’ “Fresh Aire” albums, Clannad, Enya, and Anoushka Shankar (Indian music). 80% Heavy Metal/Old School 58% Death Metalist 48% Funeral Doom Metalist 47% Thrash Metalist 43% Non-Metal 37% Power Metalist 35% Progressive Metalist 33% Which metal genre do you love the most? Movies:Films which I like are adventure, action, and horror (though no slasher films! Bah!), and some excellently made dramas. I liked the “Die Hard” and “Lethal Weapon” films, the “Terminator” and “Predator” films, the “Alien” films, the “Blade” films, the “Indiana Jones” films, and I also liked the “Young Indiana Jones” films which I’m now looking for on DVD. I also like all of Quentin Tarantino’s films, the “Lord of the Rings” films, the “Jurassic Park” films, and the “Harry Potter” films. Other films I like are “A Beautiful Mind”, “Dogma”, “Ghost”, “Ginger Snaps”, “The Gladiator”, “Hellboy”, “Interview with the Vampire” “League of Extraordinary Gentlemen” “Lost Boys”, the filming of the musical “Phantom of the Opera”, “Queen of the Damned”, “Serenity”, “Silver Bullet”, “The Howling”, “The Rock”, “The Sixth Sense”, “Steel Magnolias”, “The Others”. This list too will grow as I think of (or see) more I like. |
Television:Things I like to watch on TV (or have enjoyed watching when they were on) are: 24; Angel; Buffy, the Vampire Slayer; Charmed; Carnivale; Commander in Chief; Crime Scene Investigation; C.S.I. This list will also grow, I’m sure! |
Books:Books I like to read are the “Vampire Chronicles” books by Anne Rice, the “St. Germain” (hence, the name on my myspace account) books by Chelsea Quinn Yarbro, the Harry Potter books of course, and the “Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter” books by Laurell K. Hamilton. I also like the occasional horror short story anthologies, such as the “Hot Blood” books, “Shock Rock”, and Laurell K. Hamilton has released (as editor) a couple of nice anthologies of vampire short stories written by herself and other female writers. Another good one is “Under the Fang”, in which a variety of horror and science fiction writers got together and wrote a collection of vampire short stories which all had to do with the world having been overtaken by vampires, who are now the rulers, and humans are their cattle. A very interesting read! Many books which are hard to find can be found at www.abebooks.com I’ve done a lot of business with various booksellers all over the world via this website!I also like to read some magazines, mainly—you guessed it—heavy metal magazines. I have a subscription to “Terrorizer” magazine from Britain, and I’ll also pick up the odd copy of British “Metal Hammer”, or the Dutch “Aardschok”, if there is something interesting in there I would like to read. |
