Heroes:Heroes? FIRST AND FOREMOST MY PARENTS FOR EVERY THING THEY TRIED TO DO FOR ME OF MY 27YRS. MY FAMILY, EVEN THOUGH NONE OF US ARE CLOSE THEY DO BECOME MY HEROES FROM TIME TO TIME. AND DEFINITELY LAST BUT NEVER LEAST IS JESUSGive me your definition of a hero? My definition of a hero is rather simplistic: one who gives him/herself unto others with absolute disregard for themselves. But there's another portion of this definition. One can only imagine why people who encompass this behavior when called heroes immediately blush and deny such a label. They view themselves doing only what humanity should be doing; progressing our virtues morality sanity by the sheer of act of self sacrifice.By refusing to recognize themselves as heroes they become one. Heroes I look up to anyone who has the balls to tell the truth and that can stand up against people. I also look up to anyone who is kind to others not because they'll get something in return, but just to be kind and make someone else's life a little easier. |
