My Interests

RETROSPECT A poem by Patricia Let the moondust settle... Your heart is still there... Let the the love dust find you... My thoughts are still breathing... Your love was an hourglass of emotion... Timed and measured... My love was like a sparrow.. Pure and open... Can we share that time again? Thoes hours of magic... Your silence speaks profoundly like an ax to the guillotine... This time was not our time... but it was precious... Look to the shadow It changes.. it grows.. it frolicks in the light of the sun... Look to tomorrow... be vulnerable...be chanceful.. be joyful.. be contented.

I'd like to meet:

"The Hundredth Monkey"Many years ago, on the island of Koshima, scientists spent 30 years observing the Japanese monkey, Macaca fuscata. The monkeys’ favorite food was sweet potatoes which they would dig out of the sand. One day, in 1952 they noticed Imo, a young female, washing her sweet potato in a stream to remove the unpleasant gritty sand. Several months later, they noticed that her mother had also learned this trick and then, later on, so did her playmates. Then, more and more monkeys picked up this behavior and finally by 1958 all of the young monkeys on the island, estimated at 99, were washing their sweet potatoes in the stream. The next monkey to become aware of this trick, was the 100th monkey. When he started to wash his sweet potato, an amazing thing happened ……….....Across the sea, many miles away, colonies of monkeys on other islands started to wash their sweet potatoes without ever having seen it done before…How could this be? Let us say, that if a limited number of beings have a certain consciousness and keep it only to themselves, not much change will occur. But if more and more individuals continue to tune into this awareness, there will be a point at which all that is needed is only one more being to reach that critical number which will strengthen the field of energy and send it out to the universe! This awareness will then be picked up by almost everyone and a social change will occur! The Hundredth Monkey holds the promise of hope. We are all connected and at any one point, one of us will be the 100th and then suddenly we will be there! "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." Margaret Mead

Books:

"The great tragedy of life is not that men perish, but that they cease to love." W. Somerset Maugham............The Gift..a poem by PatriciaTake this moment.. I give it to you.. Unspoiled, reflective, passive..It is yours to keep Indelible and forever. It is not shared. Its privacy squeaks like a razor on a chalkboard. A million tomorrows will be tarnished by its imprint.Only you can see its meaning..poignant and profound.Only I can treasure this acceptance that hs woven its emblem into my heart.
