| I was born on a cold evening in November, in a small city in Germany, I grew up in a very small village. With three brothers and two sisters. My Daddy was a Artist and he teached us in music and drawing. Each of used to play about four instruments, we had a few little concerts. I grew up in Nature and I thank my parents for that. My mummi is a mum for real, the best in this world and as well I wanna give a big thanx to my sisters and brother and everybody of this nice people in this world who helped me to find my way. I left my hometown with seventeen, my village got too small for me and I went squatting Berlin. I was quite punky in this time, we used to party all night.I start to play djembe and guitar in two crazy bands and played in the streets, the trains and in front of the coffees in summer.I traveled a lot and wrote many many poems, I had a very critical eye for the society, the gouverment, yes, even Germany got to small for me, I wanted to go for Africa, yes, I got a nice plan: Go down to France Pyrenees stay in the mountains, squatt a little house there, have sme animals to survive with and stay there for five years and then I would be ready for a life inna Afrika.....so I dreamed to myself, and Berlin started to change by getting the capital of Germany, it was horrible, capitalisme burned down the squats and all the beautifull people went away, and the one who stayed became alcoholics and worther. We had to leave, yeah two girls and two dog, we hit the road again out for a new adventure. came down to paris to a squat in rue de pyrenees. I met a nice man there he came from mali/africa and i decided to stay in paris. yeah, we were falling in love, he teached me french and we dreamed of a little house in afrika with some animals ,the children grown and we are watching the sunset. we got three beautiful children and struggled a lot. After five years Paris ghettos was too much for a little mummy like me. I took my children and I run away to my mums hometown... today I am back in Berlin and I am very happy about that, it is still a very chilli place, and the best place to my music. I meet so many great artists here, so my children no babies anylonger and I play and dance now in a Samba group and some month ago I started to work out a women reggae band, but it was too hard, so i mixed up the band, and called it SonJah and THE EQUAL RIGHT you will soon get us on myspace music, too. I have a message to this world. Is for shure about love , I am a mama. I want a beautiful place for my children and I go down fighting if you destroy it, but I fight not with arms, man, I fight by shining. I bring light, in a world with many shaddows. | |
