Myspace Layouts - Myspace Editor The beginning of my ’carreer’ as a DJ is pretty funny. My first performance was when I was about 14 years old I think, when I did the music on the new year’s eve party my parents gave, together with my cousin. The next step forward only came after a while, when we were looking for a DJ for our scouts party. It was only then that I really caught the bug, and started focussing more and more on doing something with music, something more then listening. Later I started getting more and more into reggae music, and later ska, ragga/dancehall and dub too, and I started to be more and more of a so-called selecta. Wich I love doing: bringing good music and positive vibes to the people. Making the people smile, dance and sing. One Love ! Going from reggae like Bob Marley (ofcourse..), Sizzla, Capleton, Burro Banton, Super Cat, T.O.K, Ce'Cile, Groundation, Israel Vibration, Skatelites, Richie Spice, Damian Marley, Seeed, Gentleman, Patrice, Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Zion Train, Vibronics, ... over drum and bass like Pendulum, Shy FX, Skibadee, London Elektricty, to rocky things like Rage Against the Machine, Nirvana, Pixies, ... As for Soundsystems, my biggest influence is Uphill Sound, since they're from around here, and the original rub-a-dub sound. Also all the other Beljam sounds you run into at parties.
