IMMEDIATELY AFTER HER BIRTH I SIGNED ADOPTION PAPERS AND I WAS SENT BACK HOME TO NEW JERSEY. THE LAWYER WHO HANDLED THIS PRIVATE ADOPTION IS BRUCE ROSAS ALSO LOCATED IN MAMOU LOUISIANA. AT THE TIME I WAS JUST 18 YEARS OLD AND MY BOYFRIEND LEFT ME. WE WERE BOTH VERY YOUNG I DON'T BLAME HIM, I BLAME MYSELF. HE WAS JUST AS SCARED AS I WAS. I HAD NO WAY TO RAISE A CHILD AND I WANTED HER TO HAVE ONLY THE BEST LIFE POSSIBLE. THE LIFE SHE WOULD HAVE HAD WITH ME AT THAT TIME IN MY LIFE WOULD HAVE BEEN HORRIBLE. I WAS TOLD A FAMILY IN PENNSYLVANIA WAS ADOPTING HER. BUT THAT INFORMATION MAY HAVE ALSO BEEN A LIE. SHE COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD. | Let me start from the beginning. At just 15 I ment my first boyfriend Jim. Of corse I was in love & I was going spend the rest of my life with him. Things were very bad for me at home so this was an easy decision for me I just wanted someone to love me. So after running away 5 times & spending some time in a halfway house my step sister called dyfs & I was sent to live with her. I made some friends & continued to see Jim & was introduced to drugs I fell into the lifestyle very fast before I knew It I was living with jim & I was pregnant. I saw the ad in the paper for adoption I called & decided the only way to save her from a painful life & possible damage from my drug use was to leave the state so I ended up in mamou louisiana & I was scared to death I had never been anywhere before.I was alone & had nobody besides lawyers & doctors. 5 days after her birth I was sent home to start all over again. For 6 years after her birth I continued to do drugs just about every day until I felt as bad as I looked I packed up moved & here I am today lucky to be alive. Partying seemed like the answer like it made everything better & it didn't. If any other girls read this I hope it will make a difference. I fought to get where I am today & now I battle with an eating disorder & depression. But everyday I remind myself this might be the day I find my daughter or she finds me. And thats the short version. | |
