From a classical background she sang in choirs, performing at local theatres, and played flute and guitar during her childhood years. She was very influenced by both jazz artists and the early hip hop culture in her teens. This musical fusion lead to her current sound - a singer with jazzy vocals and a soulful vibe that is delicately applied to R&B, Hip Hop, House, Garage and Neo-Soul tracks. She has a large catalogue of songs and also produces. She has worked with a range of artists and did a track for the 'Ghetto Fabulous' album - a collaboration of artists updating 80s classics. Beyonce - well what can I say she has taken over from Tina Turner!!!! New artists like Cassie and Danity Kane. Javine (you work so hard, stay blessed sweetie) and also to Jamelia (keep working it girl you're getting better and better). Old skool artists like John Holt, Third World, The Wailers. Respect to Bob Marley and Peter Tosh. Jazz influences: George Benson. Respect to all those UK grime and garage artists who are spending their hard earned cash to do it solo. Madonna (the chameleon always fitting every decade) and Mariah Carey (your last album was simply amazing). Have to give a shout out to some of the UKs finest Leona Lewis (go girl!!!!), Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse (boy did you show 'em). Also got to mention Lethal Bizzle and N-Dubz. So many artists and so many influences. Thanks to you all.
