DipVertigo (Grapevinez/Maximum Moves/LA) Dj DipVertigo (Jeremy Matthew Eichberg) a.k.a. Dip, discovered a new talent in 2003. Having studied many instruments throughout his life, such as drums, piano, clarinet, sax and voice, Dip turned his musical interest to the turn tables. With his eclectic mind he began spinning many different genres of electronic music, with his main focus being breaks and drum n bass. Quickly learning how to beat match and mix, Dip received his first booking, spinning breaks at H20 Production’s weekly “Rhythm Lounge.” In 2004 Dip decided he needed more energy behind what he was doing, and turned to drum n bass. He picked up an internet radio show, “Electrical Impulse” on DNBRadio.com, hosting weekly guests with 150 to 200 listeners a week. Past guests include: Infiltrata, Machete, DJ Scooba, Circuit and Divine Elements. Dip quickly learned the art of spinning drum and bass. With DJ and production influences, Andy C, J-Majik, Wickaman, DJ Friction, Calyx and Hype, his mixing style was quickly noticed by Grapevinez in 2005. In that same year he released two drum and bass mixes “On the Rise” and “Beneath the Shadows,” highlighting his amazing track selection, fast symmetrical mixing and precise double-drops. 2005 was also the year Dip made his Hollywood debut at “Launch,” a drum n bass weekly at the Dragon Fly. Once again Dip shocked the L.A. drum and bass scene, bringing out one of the biggest, energy-filled crowds the weekly had ever scene. Dip concluded 2005 with the release of “In A Mellow Tone” and a memorable performance at “Muse,” another drum n bass weekly in Downtown L.A. In early 2006 Dip paired himself with LA’s up and coming lyricist MC J-Tec. Unifying their equally talents they formed Maximum Moves and released “Maximum Moves: Volume One.” With this release, Dip surprised the L.A. drum and bass scene, picking up the mic and displaying his vocal talents. Throughout 2006 he played numerous events all over Southern California, including: Groovy, History III and the Los Angeles Music Experience. As Maximum Moves, DipVertigo and J-Tec rocked the drum and bass stage at one of the largest events in California, Monster Massive, hosted by Go Ventures. In 2007 Dip has already released his new project, “Bending Space & Time.” This free-style mix series highlights his live, one-shot mixing skills, and newly discovered bass-line switches, modeled after the supreme beings Andy C and DJ Friction. Dip also just released Maximum Moves Volume 2 on 3 “Journey to a Special Place” at Maximum Moves official cd release party, Grapevinez newest event, RIZE. Having added a third deck to his arsenal and double the vocals this is a one-of-a-kind dj/mc mix sure to take Maximum Moves straight to the top. Dip is still currently working on “Beneath the Shadows II” and has recently started a weekly Breaks night called Sunday Night Grooves at the Little Rock in the San Fernando Valley with Partner Eva of B.O.T.S. As a promoter and resident dj Dip is very happy to be back in the breaks scene and is working on a new breaks mix due out late 2007.
