Music:Member Since: 8/22/2006Band Website: maethelyiah.com/blooding_mask.html Band Members: Maethelyiah is the founder of Blooding Mask, vocalist, songwriter, polyinstrumentalist. On live stage the line up has been completely renewed because she moved to the UK now about 6 years ago and she decided to get rid of the previous members to work finally in harmony, far away from tensions and negativity. Blooding Mask's line up is currently made by Maethelyiah and Awen-Hotep officially, and often working with inspired artists. Influences: Influences are certainly from classic background. She loves Danny Elfman as a contemporary artist, Ennio Morricone and goes mad for Mozart, Tchaikowsky. Also Russian Choirs, Monteverdi, anything classic and deep is quite in her mind and heart ;) Sounds Like: This is though. I am not going to write what previous labels wrote, such as comparisons to Diamanda Galas, Dead Can Dance and other excellent artists like them. Blooding Mask is unique but different from them and the comparison I think was deceitful. I can't attribute any similarity because it wouldn't be correct. Also you can find magic rituals, there are lyrics in many languages such as Italian, German, French, Latin, Theban, Rumanian and recently some Russian inspiration along with english.
