| I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4Doublas project born in Cagliari in 2005, december. The project’s name take origin from a two-headed mechanical monster seen on a very famous japanese anime of the 70’s. behind this figure, two heads move. Several musical genres are the past listenings experience of the duo, mostly oriented to violent, non conformist, introspective, ironic, destructive, and pessimistic contents. None of them have been involved in past band projects, but both had continued to grow their musical culture, getting close to a indistrial noisy point of wiew about music. Building a strong confidence with industrial and electronic sound , and starting with a little quantity of instruments ( a Personal Computer and a groovebox), the couple has started to translate in reality, their own point of wiew about different aspect of non melody and analogic-digital made noises, expressing toward industrial, dark ambient and noise sounds. The sparkle that once an for all, started the project, was in an alcoholic form, in a night spent in a pub of the sardinian capital city. Ispiring themselves with their musical listenings of past and present, the two guys express their thoughts about music evolution. They builded a particular point of wiew of doing an industrial line, trying to comunicate sensations, introspections of personal life experiences, and perceptions of the world in different ways: the world of individual life, and the world of hystorical life. They refuse to conform to schemes, and prefer to work around sounds,samples and concepts by taking, sometimes ripping, piecese from certain sound structures, rebuilding an enriching with compressions, distorsions, saturations and noises of several types, arriving to the establishment of a “moment” that is titled to fix the the real meaning of their work of destructing and rebuilding sounds. The result of this introspective, sometimes impulsive (with conate) job, it’s a Demo CD titled “La grande illusione” which have a dominant idea: the perception of all totalitarisms as great fake illusion of some exalted individuals, persuaded of a fake might. This, but not only tihs, is treated in this record, that examines reality altering it, but without altering the meaning, that don’t renounce to have a crithical and ironic vein about this alienating reality full of futile noise, mechanical and technical madness, a cronic disease of the west man, an obesity of pointless freedom without responsability. Doublas demo, has seen the light in 2006 December, to this time it’s self producted and distribuited by the web, using project’s personal space on myspace. Now is working and composing a further demo, that may be ready in summer of 2007 | |
