Since then I have lived in Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Massachusetts and New Hampshire (again). I now live in Miami Beach, FL with my awesome girlfriend, Cassie.I started painting in 8th grade in Marshall, MN. A local painter Duane Penske showed me how to stretch a canvas. During high school and college most of my art was video. If you have ever seen "Harness The Power Of Cyclone" - that was me. I recently started painting again in November of 2005 after an almost 10 year hiatus.Each of my paintings is a facial expression. The face is the simplest means of expressing a complex emotion. I keep a daily emotional diary of faces in my sketchbook. Each page in my sketchbook is a series of faces that serve as a record of instantaneous emotional states. I look through this sketch diary for faces that stand out as significant feelings. Each of my painted works is based on one of these sketches.
