Rhodesia nasce a Catania il 25/05/1984; comincia a studiare canto jazz all'età di 13 anni con la famosa jazzista Rosalba Bentivoglio, ma presto si allontana da questo genere per avvicinarsi alla canzone d'autore, che trova più consona al suo modo di esprimersi. Comincia a comporre all'età di 16 anni, e ad esibirsi con una band nei locali della sua città . A 18 anni si trasferisce a Bologna e incontra Valerio Fuiano (www.myspace.com/fujian) col quale inizia una collaborazione e l'arrangiamento di tutti i suoi brani (che scrive in inglese, italiano e francese, perché non le basta una sola lingua per esprimersi). Con Valerio si esibisce a Bologna dal 2004, in un sereno duo acustico che soddisfa pienamente la necessità di intimità richiesta dalla canzone d'autore. Rhodesia was born in Catania in 1984; she stars studying jazz at the age of 13, with the famous jazz singer Rosalba Bentivoglio, but soon she decides to start song writing, which she feels nearer to her attitude and peculiarities. She starts composing at the age of 16, performing with her band in the local pubs of her city. At 18 she moves to Bologna and meets Valerio Fuiano (www.myspace.com/fujian): they start collaborating and he arranges all her songs (which she writes in English, Italian and French, since she needs more than one language to express herself). With Valerio she plays in Bologna since 2004, in a lovely acoustic duo which completely satisfies the need of introspection, the main feature of song writing. Rhodesia est née à Catania, en 1984; elle commence à étudier jazz à 13 ans, avec la chanteuse de jazz Rosalba Bentivoglio, mais très tôt elle décide de expérimenter la chanson d'auteur, qu'elle trouve plus approprié à sa façon de s'exprimer. Elle commence à écrire à 16 ans, et s'exhibe avec sa band dans les pubs de sa ville. A 18 ans elle va à Bologna et y rencontre Valerio Fuiano (www.myspace.com/fujian) avec lequel elle commence une collaboration et l'arrangement de toutes ses chansons (qu'elle écrit en anglais, italien et français, car une langue seulement ne lui suffit pas pour s'exprimer).
