Ras-b.com Coming Soon Singer::Songwriter::Producer Based in South London, Ras B established his dub + dancehall sound system as a foundation, and the conscious lyrics vibe has been in his blood ever since.Ras B known for his many vocal personalities bombards the mic with his manic conscious toasting, gaining momentum while occasionally dropping in a sung melodic verse or two. He is a member of 3head, a band described by Londons Time Out as a beguiling mix of epic, steaming dub, flecked with frantic toasting, molten soul vocals, all underpinned by deft breakbeats.Ras B has extended his wings to collaborate with The Bug, Adrian Sherwood (On-U-Sound), Rephlex, ADF, Dennis Bovell, Andy Weatherall, Rogue Element and Faultline, appearing on MTV, BBC Radio1 (John Peel(live special with John Peel alongside the bug, Mexican and sound murderer), Mary-Anne Nightingale and Mary-Anne Hobbs(live special on the Breezeblock with Mary Anne Hobbs and MCs such as Warrior Queen Stush, Spaceape, Flowdan from Roll Deep and the Banana Klan), XFM, among others. He features on The Ghetto priest album and Chainstore Massacre, both produced by Sherwood. With the UK release of the 3head album in late 2003 and the second album on the way, Ras B has a couple of his own projects under way and is currently working the The Bug.Drop me a line Bless |
