Royal-Tee released his album, “Alumni,” on September 21, 2007 under Street Dreamaz Entertainment. He is a Charlotte “Queen City" native, with an original style of his own. He is more than a breath of fresh air to hip hop; he is the epitome of raw talent. His LP includes collaborations with Phonte of Little Brother and many more. Royal-Tee’s first single "Love Thing" featuring artist Jus K received airplay on Power 98 FM in Charlotte, NC. Royal-Tee has collaborated with Kalako of PowerSource Entertainment, their hit single, “Monkey Roll,” received national airplay in Mississippi, Germany, Canada, Athens, Alabama, Tennessee and Augusta, GA and the Top 20 charts in St. John Canada. Since the rising star has such a predominate future he has been invited to perform and tour with: Just Plain Folks Tour, Ebony Black Family Reunion, Sisters Only, Alley Hoops Jam with special guest Little Brother and Doug E. Fresh. Royal-Tee also performed with Taking it to the Streets Tour, Power 98 Summer Fest 2006 and Headliner artist at The China Club, NYC December 2007, Central Piedmont Community College “Black History Month: What is Hip-Hop?” 2008, CIAA Ford Fan Experience at the Charlotte Convention Center, 2008. Royal-Tee was also nominated for best Rap Album of the year by (SEA) Southern Entertainment Awards in 2007and 2008, Queen City Music Awards best Future Flavor in 2008. Royal-Tee has been featured in several print and online publications: The Charlotte Post, Showcase Magazine, The Contender, Klassy Magazine, The Niche, Carolina Promoter, Rolling Out, Word on the Streets, Street Report Magazine, DV8 and Indie. Royal-Tee was honored to be a guest speaker at Al Sharpton’s (NAN) National Action Network; Harlem, NY in December 2007. Royal-Tee was born in Charleston, SC as Ade' (pronounced Ah'-Day) Adisa Vanderhost, which means "Royal Priesthood" in the Nigerian language. He is inspired by legends such as: Nas, Eric B and Rakim, LL Cool J, KRS (Boogie Down Productions) to name a few. He is a true hip-hop renaissance man who has the voice and courage to speak for those who can't in his community. Royal-Tee is to Hip Hop what Elvis is to Rock & Roll, original & authentic.
