| I am a guitar playing, mountain walking, financial advising sort of bloke. Music is a main attraction in my existence so please feel free to examine my brothers (and sister) in crime at the maya29 page.I first got into music when I was quite small thanks to Adam And The Ants, although things really changed when I went on holiday with my mate James and his family when I was in my teens, as I went away listening to A-Ha and came back listening to Hawkwind and Pink Floyd. A year later I went to my first proper gig (the 12hour Technicolour Dream in the Brixton Academy) which featured Hawkwind, Ozric Tentacles, Chemistry Set, The Bevis Frond and a load of other bands, then another year later I bought my first guitar which has been very well used since. I went to Uni at wonderful Aberystwyth, worked for 4 years in Glasgow, Dundee and Aberdeen, returned to Uni for a year in Aberdeen, moved to Edinburgh to work, relocated to Newcastle for just over a year, and now I'm back in Edinburgh. I have been playing in Maya29 since 2003 which is my main distraction outside work. | |
