I'd like to meet:

Humans. REAL, FUNCTIONAL HUMAN BEINGS. But thats asking a bit much... I'll settle for Industrialists and Goths instead :DBeen having lots of new adds recently... Which is nice :) I do so detest when people say on their profiles 'Don't add me because I'm up my own behind' or whatever... But I'm forced to say...I won't add anyone else under the age of 18. I hate teenagers... Especially underage people. Always have even when I was one. If I don't add you for this reason, don't take it personally. Unless you're Emo, in which case... Die. Sorry for your sadness and all, but... Just die.I'm changing my Top8 around a bit. Don't take it personally if you're not on it any more... Its mainly a) People I know in real life and b) bands/films I like right now. *sigh* I shouldn't have to say this but it seems to be leading to arguments.

Music:

Industrial, Gothic, EBM mainly, though I like lots of crap that can't be easily compartmentalised like that. Lets just say anything apart from Teenager Metal, Emo, Rap and stuff like that. And yes that includes Welsh Folk Music :| Bands at the moment (no particular order): The Crüxshadows, The Last Dance, VNV Nation, Razed in Black, Haujobb, Dead Girl on the Pavement, Manuskript, Curve, Diary of Dreams, London After Midnight, Mechanical Cabaret, NIN, The Nine, Laibach, Rammstein, Assemblage 23, Covenant, Bella Morte, Icon of Coil, Project Pitchfork, Girls Under Glass, Killing Joke, Alice in Chains, Clan of Xymox, Flesh Field, Absurd Minds, Spider Lillies, In The Nursery, Swarf, Uninvited Guest, Inertia, Combichrist, Decoded Feedback, Katscan, De/Vision, Hocico, Neuroticfish, System Syn, Anders Manga, The Retrosic, Project 12:01, Mono Chrome, XP8, Klonavenus, Fiction 8, James D Stark, Naked Highway, Particle Son, System Syn, Unter Null, Endemic, Back and to the Left, Whispers in the Shadow, Frank Klepacki, Neon Zoo, Hattemachine, Killing Miranda, Helltrash, Helios

Movies:

First up, I HATE the term 'Movie'. When people say it they sound like village idiots seeing moving images for the first time. STOP IT.Okay: I like Cyberpunk films, War Films, Gritty Crime Dramas, Stories of Love, Personal Redemption, Honour, Betrayal, and Black Comedies.Stuff at the moment: Split Second, The Descent, Dark City, Requiem for a Dream, The 6th Day, Johnny Mnemonic (its better than the Matrix :p), Ichii the Killer, Catch-22.

Television:

Don't talk to me about Television. GRR. (Apart from the thing(s) I have been on... 1 Ad and one Documentary at the moment)

Books:

Now you're talking. I read as much as is humanly possible. I generally like books on the same subjects as the films I like, its just that there's so much more you can do with a book. Some of my faces: The Day of the Triffids - John Wyndham, Catch-22 - Joseph Heller, The WorldWar Series - Harry Turtledove, The Great War and American Empire Series - Harry Turtledove, Gaunt's Ghosts - Dan Abnett, Neuromancer and Mona Lisa Overdrive - William Gibson, redRobe - John Courtenay Grimwood, Spares, Only Forward and The Straw Men - Michael Marshall Smith, Vurt, Pollen, Nymphomation by Jeff Noon, The Genocides - Thomans M Disch, We Can Rebuild it For You Wholesale - Philip K Dick, Starship Troopers - Robert Heinlein, Maul - Tricia Sullivan, Weapons of Choice - John Birmingham

Heroes:

Optimus Prime, Toni Halliday and Dean Garcia of Curve, Montgomery of El Alamein, Morrissey, Siouxsie Sioux, Sonic the Hedgehog, Fidel Castro, Nick Seafort, Biggles, Colonel H Jones, Alec Empire, Taana the Avenger, Jill Valentine, The Vault Dweller, and finally Tom Tomorrow - Writer of This Modern World webcomic.

Cinderella Theory, Coven, Golden Compass and other adventures

First up: Cinderella. Cinderella, by my reasoning, was a transvestite. She had to be home before 12. Why? * Because if she went home with a guy she'd obviously be 'found out' The shoe she left behind...

Le Wesforce dans l’appartement à Paris s’il vous plaît

I've just got back from Paris. There's someone Stephan and I met a good long while ago. Magdalena, a Polish girl named after an A Perfect Circle song. She's chronically phobic of cameras (with no reas...

Anti- Chwist Super Tarts

On Friday I came down to Anti-Christ, the super-bigged-up new 'everything-night' on Charing Cross. I had to be coerced there, I must say - it just sounded like far too much going on in one place, at a...

Musings on Black Planet, Novus, and Deviant UK :)

Its hard to believe that only last week it was yet another Coven night. The penultimate of the year. It seems like I'm at a different place every weekend - not that that's a bad thing. When you have t...

Maxi-Minimum Whitbage

...Not because it was a bad time per se, more because it could so easily have been what with all the screw-ups involved with the organisation, the fact we weren't seeing the bands, and the fact that t...

Escape Velocity

The pace, it never ends. After the last couple of weeks I've had, you might expect a bit of a slowdown. Not so! Although I'm back at work, and soon to be back at University, I'm still (somehow) findin...

Infest Meltdown

Yet again I find myself dragging my (sleek) arse down to the concrete and corrugated-iron maze that is Luton airport - dozens of big hangars filled with junk that the A-team would find heavenly, yet n...

M’era Luna 2007 pt 2

The nest day started with Angels and Agony. What a totally underrated band! The set had us stomping around from the get-go, and the band played the crowd expertly. Stephan reckons they could be as big...

Clan of Xymox Gig

Pretty shocking turnout from us Luton goths, as only Dan, Soph and I made the hazardous trek South to see one of the finest bands currently walking the Earth. London public transport isn't much fun at...

Many Things of a Weekend

I often do things. I do many things, and doing many things is good. They keep the body exercised, and engage the mind, otherwise it whirrs incessantly like a flywheel. Its not uncommon for a revving m...
