| DEEKAY Music is a songwriting/music production company founded in 1998 by Lars Halvor Jensen & Martin Michael Larsson. From 1999-present day DEEKAY have written & produced for artists like Sugababes, Method Man, Lemar, Mis-Teeq, Blue, Gia Farrell and many others.In 2004 a publishing branch was added, first signings were Obi & Josh, who recently produced the street single, "Ya´meen", from the current Meth album. At the moment they are writing and producing for Randy Jacksons album, "American Music Club, Vol. 1) ao.The company continues to grow and in Feb, 2007, writer/producer Tim McEwan joined the camp.DEEKAY excel in lots of different genres - on top of the Hip Hop Meth single above, they have had major success in the pop genre all across Europe and Asia (Sales in excess of 10 million units so far). In 2006, they achieved huge success with UK soul star, Lemar. His first single, the DEEKAY-penned smash hit, "It´s Not That Easy", reached no.2 on the UK airplay chart and propelled his album to 2 x Platinum sales in the UK. This year, DEEKAY have worked with a number of big writers and artists incl. the Sugababes, writing and producing the title-track and 2nd single from their UK 1 album, "Change". |
