| Black Gandhi was formed in 2006 in Barcelona. Its members, each one with
a long history working in the professional music scene, shared the vision of
creating a Reggae group with a unique sound and a positive message, inspired
by the philosophy of indian pacifist Mahatma Gandhi and black music tradition.The result of this union is a live experience with a repertoire of originals
influenced by artists such as Toots & the Maytals, The Wailers, Richard Bona,
James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Jimi Hendrix, Sting.Black Gandhi’s performances have been described as "a joyful party" and
in “Joy”, their debut album, you can experience exactly that;
a fresh sound and positive energy.

Black Gandhi es una formación nacida a mediados del año 2006 en Barcelona integrada por cinco músicos de amplia trayectoria, unidos por el deseo común de crear una banda de Reggae que tubiera un sonido particular y un mensaje positivo, inspirado en la filosofia de Mahatma Gandhi y en las tradiciones de la música negra.
El resultado es un directo contundente con un repertorio de musica original con influencias de grupos como Toots & The Maytals, The Wailers, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Jimi Hendrix, Richard Bona, Sting.
