I'm not sure what the release date was for that, but that day will be remembered as the date that marked the beginning of the end of terrestrial alternative radio.The pop infection spread like a tumor, converting air-time that was once dedicated to alternative music to pop-time... and at this point the formerly strong and aggressive alterna-immune system doesn't even recognize the invasive cells. Bands like Snow Patrol, Fallout Boy, Keane, Hoobastank, Evanescence, The Killers, Coldplay, The Fray, and Panic! at the Disco are camouflaged so well that they're not even recognized as pop-invaders and, masquarading as alternative bands, are allowed to grow and prosper at the expense of the genre.There's nothing you can do to stop pop from squeezing the last breath out of your local FM so-called alternative station...
