| Welcome to Las Guayabas art page! Why choose a Guayaba as our symbol? Guayabas remind us of the aromas of mercados, of abuelita's house in the summer, of mom’s kitchen on sundays. Guayabas are a staple of what Mexico means to us, They are a reminder of the land of our ancestors. Guayabas, with their distinct sweetness and color grabs your senses and excites the palate. They transport you to a time and place where peace flowed as freely as raw milk. Arte Las Guayabas is “womyncentric” art made by muxeres from the San Fernando Valley. Our philosophy is to create art which represents our culture and that enables us as womyn to become self-sufficient through the practice of art as a means to self realization. We focus on the empowerment of womyn through the arts and community involvement. All of our items are cruelty free and most are imported from Mexico. All of our items are original, one of kind pieces, although some pieces can be replicated, no 2 pieces are the same. Our stuff can be purchased via paypal.
