| I’m a songwriter who gets around a bit. I did my first european tour when I was 19 in van full of hippies and more than a few flies. We used to sleep on the beach and get woken up at dawn by enormous beach combing machines veering to narrowly miss killing us.I earned my stripes playing in a country band and swapping places whenever we got bored so we all got pretty good at the different instruments. We signed our first record deal as Wooden Horse and wasted loads of somebody else’s money dicking around for months in a posh studio in Leeds. Not much came from it but we did some great gigs with people like The Frames, Dodgy and The Mutton Birds We signed our second as The Evernauts and built our own studio to record The Northern Country - our English take on Americana. Go buy it off iTunes!I joined Mostly Autumn as a keyboard player but ended up playing all sorts of stuff and writing some songs for the album Heart Full Of Sky and doing loads of brilliant gigs. I’m still playing a few gigs with them here and there but creatively withdrew to concentrate on a solo project early this year.I joined Fish for the recording of 13th Star in April last year and have been on and off the road with him ever since. In the off bits I’ve written an album and recorded a bunch of demos to be turned into a wonderful long player later this year.
