ODDS and ENDS: As I said I love antiques and especially the art nouveau style. I'm a romantic at heart-anything with fringe,beading and feathers especially peacock feathers. collecting perfume bottles and vintage concert t-shirts-gardening-antique roses-ivys and ferns-garage sales- flea markets-chihuahuas-collecting vintage teddy bears namely Steiff and oak baskets- rock hounding for heart shaped rocks-treasure hunts- opals(my birthstone)-Harley trips-yummy food including southern style cooking-enchiladas-giant breakfasts(my favorite meal)-pistachios-bananas-avocados-lemon custard ice cream & fresh black cherries. Fuzzy Navels & Shiner Bock Beer. The blues,zydeco,bluegrass,polka,reggae,swing,salsa,cojunta and even some dixieland jazz. I was a Brownie and a Girl Scout (very important). I am an Oilfield Widow!! Give me an ax and I'll clear some brush and then have a HUGE bonfire. Target practice is fun (and I'm a pretty good shot I might add). Deep sea fishing and wade fishing is a blast. We used to go to Retriever Dog Field Trials(our Lab Zach is retired)& most of all spending time with my family especially my Grandson Bryce! He's a hoot like him Grandma!ODD JOBS: house painting, carpet cleaning, flower shop delivery(in a great old station wagon-woo hoo) jewelry shop sales, one hour photo store(yeah I saw it all!) Small Town Newspaper-wrote ads-stories-sold ads-photography-production-drove paper 30 miles to get it printed in a bright yellow ford truck we called the BananaBoat, brought it back and put it in the paper racks and collected the money. I did it all in old school style! Cable TV Station: write, film, edit and voice over commercials for cable channels (fun job) Correctional Nursing at Texas Youth Commission(I've heard it ALL) and now Antique Shop proprietor.TRAVELS: Europe: Amsterdam,Germany,Switzerland Austria, Italy and Czechoslovakia (during communism) Would love to go back! Seen at least half of the United States along for the ride in an 18 wheeler. Most recently: Colorado and Arizona Dream Destination: Costa Rica glitter-graphics.com |

Music:Oo la la..What don't I like? I've grown up with my ear stuck to the side of a giant wooden console stereo,(which actually sounded quite good)listening to Sam the Sham & the Pharoahs, Wooly Bully, Groovy Grubworm.(My Dad's influence) to Al Green & Elvis (my friend Della's favs) to Jimi Hendrix, Jethro Tull & Cream (My brother Randys' pics). On my own I found Lynyrd Skynyrd, Dr John, Joe Cocker,Van Morrison, Bad Company, Steve Miller, Foghat & Grand Funk Railroad. My daughter turned me on to Dave Matthews, Pearl Jam, John Mayer & Jack Johnson to name a few.Then there are the local yocals of Texas music: Janis,Willie,Lyle & Stevie. The Blues are my favorite, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Bonnie Raitt, Delbert McClinton & Susan Tedeschi...to start. My newest favorites are Mofro and Marc Broussard...
