MySpace music profile METRO STARS with tour dates, songs, videos, pictures, blogs, band information, downloads and more. METRO STARS is born from the union of MAXI B and MICHEL, both artists with many experiences like solo artists. MICHEL, former member of group MOMO POSSE, with which it has recorded two album for EMI Switzerland in the second half of years ninety , he has produced two compilation entitled ..Chempions League.. and.... Da Lontano " for Vibrarecords (Italian independent label), and collaborated with various artists of the Swiss and Italian Hip Hop scene, today he is considered one of the best producers of rap music . MAXI B, former member of group ..the CLAN.., with the disc ..conductors EP.. (1998), in order then to form the group ..Kaso & MaxiB with the Italian MC Kaso , with which he will record two album (..Preso Giallo.. and ..Tangram.. respective for Oblio Produzioni and Minoia Records ). Thanks to these two last jobs Maxi B is currently one of the hot names in the Italian and Swiss Hip hop scene. MICHEL and MAXI B know themselves already from ten of years, and in the 2005 they decide to join their forces forming ..METRO STARS... In summer 2006 they released their first entitled album ..COOKIES & MILK... Sixteen tracks that enclose music of Michel, and the Maxi B's rhymes. There're also other Mc's participating as featurings: Gué Pequeno (Club dogo), Supa (Sanobusiness), Amir, Dj Sice, Lil' Dueplax and Marta. To little days from the escape of the disc ..Cookies & Milk.., Metro Stars already has to the assets an intense live activity, where they are already considereds between the best ones performers. Between a live show and a collaboration, we started thinking about a new album, with more spontanous sounds and the "Jam session mood". After a few months there you have it: "METROTAPE VOL.1 THE JAM SESSION", with a lot of new songs, like "Fallo tu", "Dillo ancora", "La scimmia"...and some others already released but, for this cd, those songs were remixed in the music, and in the words too, for exemple "Storia di Luca RMX", "Boss theory"... In "Metrotape vol.1" we have some "VIP" collabos, as Bassi Maesto, One MIc, Kaso, Massakrasta and many others, check out "To the top" and "Swiss mc's".... To complete the "whole package, we included two video tracks: "Lugano remix" and "Corri". MICHEL, ex componente del gruppo MOMO POSSE, con i quali ha inciso due album per EMI Switzerland nella seconda metà degli anni novanta (vedi discografia), ha prodotto due compilation intitolate "Chempions League" e "...Da Lontano" per Vibrarecords (etichetta indipendente italiana), e collaborato con diversi artisti della scena Hip Hop sia svizzera che italiana, oggi considerato tra i migliori produttori di musica rap. MAXI B, esordisce con il gruppo "IL CLAN", con il disco "I conduttori EP" (1998), per poi formare il gruppo "Kaso & MaxiB insieme al MC italiano Kaso, con cui inciderà due album ("Preso giallo" e "Tangram" rispettivamente per Oblio Produzioni e Minoia Records). Grazie a questi due ultimi lavori Maxi B é attualmente uno dei nomi di spicco della scena Hip Hop italiana e svizzera. MICHEL e MAXI B si conoscono già da una decina d'anni, e nel 2005 decidono di unire le forze formando i "METRO STARS". In Aprile 2006 esce il loro primo album intitolato "COOKIES & MILK". Cd di sedici tracce che racchiudono la musica di Michel , e i testi di Maxi B. Tra le partecipazioni ci sono: Gué Pequeno ( Club dogo), Supa (Sanobusiness), Amir , Dj Sice, Lil' Dueplax e Marta. Grazie all'intensa attività live, Michel e Maxi B cominciamo a lavorare a "METROTAPE VOL.1", un disco a cavallo tra lo street album e il mixtape, essendo interamente mixato da Dj Sice. Metrotape vol. 1, uscito a soli nove mesi dal primo album, contiene i singoli "La scimmia" e "Dillo ancora" di cui sono stati realizzati anche i videoclips. Il filo conduttore di "metrotape vol.1" é il tributo agli artisti che hanno arricchito l'hip hop, ci sono infatti più riferimenti a diversi album, canzoni, ma anche copertine di dischi celebri. Oltre a diversi brani inediti, il disco contiene altre canzoni che sono già state pubblicate su diversi dischi e compilation, ma che per "Metrotape vol. 1" sono state remixate, sia nella musica che nel testo, come per esempio "Boss theory" e "Storia di Luca RMX"... Nono mancano le collaborazioni "illustri": Bassi Maestro e Babaman in "To the Top", One Mic, Massakrasta, Kaso sono alcuni dei gruppi che hanno partecipato al disco. Nell'estate 2007 il tour dei Metro Stars li porterà a suonare in tutt' Italia, aumentando sempre di più il numero di appassionati. Nel frattempo DJ CI, da sempre amico di Maxi e Michel, entra a far parte del collettivo, occupandosi dello studio di registrazione "METRO STARS STUDIO", e naturalmente seguendo i due Mc nei live. La partecipazione al MEI di Faenza lascia il segno, cosi come la collaborazione con Radio Popolare e le numerose apparizioni su album e mixtape di altri artisti come Bassi Maestro, Hugaflame, Amir... Metro Stars escono in dicembre con il nuovo Singolo e backstage video "FUORI CONTROLLO", che nella sola svizzera italiana raggiunge le 6000 copie vendute in poco più di un mese.
