News COME to FAR to TURN AROUND and Having Refined Taste--Veronica Hinton Batiste lives in Los Angeles, but was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana: the second of four siblings and a Domestic Abuse Violence Survivor. Veronica grew up in The Calliope Housing Projects and was a member of The Jerusalem Church of GOD in Christ throughout her childhood. In 1981 she attended Southern University's Baton Rouge Campus and majored in Mass Communications/Business Management. She married in 1987 and later moved to California in March of 1989. Ms. Batiste became interested in doing Stand Up Comedy after meeting Arsenio Hall at a Birthday Bash in August 1994 "Just KEEP Going" was his advice for her. She enjoyed a brief career as a Stand UP Comedian, performing at the World Famous Comedy Store, Laugh Factory and several other clubs in the L.A. and Hollywood Area before being called away for a Family Emergency: it was then she decided to Separate from her Husband of 14 years. Leaving Los Angeles in 1995 to Re-Group, she Returned and Resurfaced in the World of Comedy in 1998 this time as a Single Mother. One year later, A Film Producer approached Ms. Batiste, asked her if she was a Actress and did she have a "headshot" as he wanted to put her in a Movie. When she responded "no" He encouraged her to take Acting Classes and get Professional Headshots. This inspired HER: She attended The Theatre of Performing Arts where she Studied Acting/Drama (1999), Completed ACTORS WORKSHOP (2004). Veronica has appeared in Two TELEVISION Episodes of "UNTOLD STORIES OF THE ER" (2005-ER NURSE) for The Learning Channel. FILM Extras such as Waist Deep (2005-PROTEST MARCHER). TV Commercials - "Planned Parenthood" (2003-FRIENDLY NURSE) and Stage Plays - "Brother in the House" (2003-SUPPORT ROLE). While She continues to Seek Opportunities to Showcase her Talent and DUBBED " A Oprah Winfrey" .... ONE of Her Great Desires is to Produce MOVIES and STAR in them, like LIFETIME. And Also Perform A Stand UP Comedy DVD Series in her HOMEtown of New Orleans, Louisiana. Ms. Batiste has completed A Feature Length Movie Script based on her Childhood Experiences. FUTURE Goals Include HOSTING A LATE NIGHT TALK Show for a MAJOR Television Network.
