| Support me by putting a banner on your page! …In 1993 Marc Arthur organizes the Noisy Nation band. Their style can be described as a zippy dance music combining different trends - from funk to rap. Arthur was the author of both the music and lyrics. The band caught attention, performed in the Baltic countries and some Scandinavian cities. The Noisy Nation band shared the stage with such musicians as Robert Miles and the British boy-band East 17. Arthur’s team performed as a warm-up band during the Baltic tour of the German Scooter. The song 'Funky Attack' was the leader of the national charts over seven weeks. This success lasts until 1995 when Arthur runs into creativity crisis followed by a deep depression. He neither performs nor composes songs for the group any more. In quest of a new identity and a niche for him Arthur comes to writings in psychology and philosophy, but can’t find any answers in the books. He rejects the offer to take part in the Eurovision Song Contest and leaves for Europe - to drive away his depression and get some new impressions.In 1998 Arthur leaves for London where he plunges into the bright and seething life of music festivals, nightclubs and small jazz cafes. He mixes with people, sniffs the air of creativity and ease gaining new experience. Arthur meets young musicians, visits studios, and listens to recordings making a note of everything important and interesting.2007 became a breakthrough year for Marc Arthur. In March, Universal Music released his first solo album - Feel. A mix of contemporary pop rock with jazzy flavor caught fancy of many listeners while compositions 'You Give Me Love' and 'Burning Bridges' were welcomed with enthusiasm by critics. In November, Marc Arthur was invited to participate in two concerts as a support singer for Britain’s living icon Bryan Ferry. |
