Since then, the three piece Newcastle (NSW) band are playing heaps of great gigs each month up and down the East Coast of Australia - and let’s not forget Tassie. The band is Mark Hawkins on Guitar and Lead Vocals, Bruce "Real Skins Mcoy" Findlay helping with Vocals and beating those Drums like it’s nobodies business and Matt "Psycho" Ward Vocals and Double Bass - if you’re lucky you might see him bouncing around on that baby!! With a genuine look and sound of rockabilly the boys are all musically solid and together they are tight and ready to rock. It's been said, if you're not at least tappin' your foot - check your pulse! Performing live The Flattrakkers have their own unique sound and a versatile set list with influences such as The Stray Cats, Eddie Cochrane, Hank III, Johnny Cash, Sid King and Wayne Hancock along with their genuine passion for kool cars, racing and ol’ speedway days. Their 12-track all original, debut album titled HIGH OCTANE is still selling well both here in Australia and overseas and with this, The Flattrakkers are staking their claim in the rockabilly scene. There are more than a few songs about kool cars and going fast, plenty of dancin' tunes and if you're into rockabilly, hot rods, racin’ or cruizin' you will want to add High Octane to your CD collection. Expect your second serving of The Flattrakkers in the next couple of months with their second album in the works as we speak. They’re always expanding their already large list of tunes (especially originals), keeping them versatile from one gig to the next. The future's looking very bright for the boys so keep your peepers peeled for more news on The Flattrakkers.new online shop here very soon..................CD's and merch available from:
