| Periklis Tsoukalas born in 1970 in Attica. He began to learn guitar from ten years old and in the age of thirteen he gave his first concert. Grown in musical family (his father was former musician in the known groups "Crowns" and "Semprini"), he was helped by his parents in his musical studies. Very shortly he left with his parents for Arabia where on fifteen roughly years he travelled between various Arabic states and Greece. There he was met with Arabian Oud players and Indian immigrants Sitar players. He learned various categories of the Arabic and Indian musical tradition. He has dealt with a lot of and various musical types and instruments as well as with the composition of mainly organic music near various occasionally professors. -Education: Byzantine Music With Manolis Sourgiadakis and Ioannis Aronis. European Music: With Kostas Spiropoulos. Classical singing: In Ottoman classical music, with Güzin Deismez. -Musical Instruments: Oud- - Private lessons with Yurdal Tokcan, Necati Çelik. - Master classes with Yurdal Tokcan, Omar Bashir, Charbel Rouhana, Kamel Ferjani, Necati Çelik. Sarod - with Vigit Singh. Bansuri - with Chandra Kant Prasad. Saz- with Mehmet Erenler.. Rabab(Afghan)- with Mohammad Rahim Kushnawaz and Khaled Arman . Sitar - with Raul Phasawanti. -Professional Experience: 1.Lecturing Music High-school of Heraklion as a teacher of Greek traditional music Oud and Tambura, since 2001. 2.Private music lessons, since 1994. 3.Music school of the municipality of Ierapetra, 1997-1999. -Seminars: About the Oud and Ottoman Classical Music, music of East-Mediterranean, at music schools and unions in Crete. -Organization of: Symposium on the Music of Greece & Turkey Journey through Modes and Makam, as program manager artistic director, in collaboration with the Centre for Inter-Mediterranean Cooperation.
