Rubenstein's music has been used by NBC, ABC, The History Channel, and has been featured on Public Radio International (PRI) and many other radio stations around the globe. His music has also been used for soundtracks to documentaries and TV & film productions. The chances are very good that if you watch TV or listen to public or independent radio, you've heard Jason's music. In 1994, Rubenstein moved to Los Angeles and started work on his first CD, "Image". Since "Image", Jason has created three other CDs: "Cathedral", "Tonecluster" and a collaboration with Roman Morykit (Gypsy Soul) "3am: Distant Early Warning". He has appeared on several other artists' CDs as a pianist and synthesist. In 2000, Jason and film & video producer James Barrett of Edge Creative created "Orchestrated Chaos", a collection of audio effects geared specifically towards television production. One audio effect from that collection is now famous: the howl of the "smoke monster" from ABC's hit television show "LOST". Click here for the main website.
