| Blue Leaf is a new label based in london, who release alternative, acoustic, electro-acoustic, electro-rock and live down-tempo music. We are currently accepting demos, so please get in touch if you're interested in becoming a part of blue leaf. Welcome to Blue Leaf Recordings! Matchstickman Bio Matchstickman is the alter ego of Chris Young, an incredibly gifted songwriter, musician and singer from Newcastle in England, though he now lives in Leeds. He took his first tentative steps into the world of music, with his long time friend and collaborator, Chris Weeks who is better known to us as “Kingbastard”. Their first band together was called “Fuzzy Drove”. The Fuzzy Drove were known for their brave experimentalism and deft fusion of diverse styles such as, hip hop, electronica and acoustic/alternative music. Young decided to go solo about 5 years ago and for a while recorded under no name, preferring to work anonymously in the confines of his small studio at home. Slowly but surely he developed his own style and it soon became apparent to those who had heard his work that, the “man with no name” was blossoming into a major talent. A Few years later, Young re-emerged as “Matchstickman” and he began putting together a catalogue of songs, that would see him team up with London label “Blue Leaf Recordings”. Matchstickman’s first album is currently being mastered and will be available across all formats in the not so distant future. |
