Anyone who lives in Hamburg will definately cross his path sooner or later. Even if you do not know him personally: as producer, musician, remixer and DJ he’s a true talent when it comes to music. And part of it most of the time, when a party or an event is meant to become a true blockbuster.Born in Lübeck, in the northern part of Germany, Sinan is a part of the music scene not only in Hamburg.He is not only known to the Hamburg crowd as a producer and Remixer. His remixes for Tarkan, Mustafa Sandal and Faray, to name just a few, conquered the dance floors and dance-lists all over the world. Even songs by Minimal Funk, No Underground, Big Owl and G Park were “branded” by Sinan – and again, the dancefloors were rocked all over Germany.The exceptional talent had his first moments of fame in 1994 with some releases under the name of M.U.L.E., then an artist at the company „Container Records“. The legendary „Sinan EP“ (U.S.S.) and many more project followed..Even as a DJ, Sinan has earned a reputation past the borders of Hamburg. As Resident in the legendary MAX Lounge he makes makes people dance till the early morning hours. And even at events from companies such as Porsche, Rolex, Marc O’Polo, TV Spielfilm and Cinema Sinan makes sure that the dancefloors are on fire with the right feeling for grooves such as Lounge, House and Pop. There is no fixed style: “You have to be flexible and open for different directions”, says Sinan. “Why should there not be an AC/DC Song right after a song by Sting – if it’s right for that moment and touches people. I react to the crowd – not try and make the crowd react to my taste of music”.Even as a producer, Sinan sets himself no barriers. His roots may be in Lounge music with a touch of Electro and House, but it does not end here. “Especially as a producer I have to be open-minded. It’s important that the chords have Soul – I want to give my songs a soul”. Evidence of this is found each weekend in Hamburgs Design Temple “Stilwerk”, as resident DJ he makes sure that the shoppers have the right groove to go on a relaxed shopping trip.His affinity to music started at a young age – his brother Saim constantly played songs by Santana for him. Sinan was only 3 months old at the time… HipHop, Soul, R&B and later New Wave and Bands like B 52’s and Talking Heads influenced him strongly. Most of all though, the influence came from The POLICE, he admires them till today. “For Sting, I would do a remix right now”, he says. As a 15 year old he received a keyboard for his birthday – a crucial experience which strengthened his wish to produce and play music. How to play the keyboard – he learned that all by himself. Nowadays, Sinan can present a superb selection of songs. The list of his releases and compilations is long. Even his style as DJ is in great demand. „For me, there is only bad or good music“, he says, „I do not play the bad music.” It’s so simple to explain his secret to success...
