Badboy ‘B’, (B for Barron) has always had music in his blood as his dad collects and DJ’s Rare Soul and after witnessing some hefty DnB gigs at Rumble at Norwich’s waterfront he was hooked and wanted to become an Mc It all started back in 2001 when he was approached by DJ Staple who is half owner of Rufcut and strictlyDOPE promotions with his brother DJ Fire D after he blagged the mic at one of their dances at the time. It was early days for Barron as a lot of background work needed to be done after being thrown in at the deep end at the dawn of his career. Progress remained under strictlyDOPE’s wing making him resident for the label which he remains till this day. StrictlyDOPE was the first step on the DnB ladder and was nearly the last due to a relationship in Essex not to be remembered in 2004 lasting till the end of 2005! Upon his return he made a surprise appearance at Rufcuts 5th anniversary bash and it was apparent that the crowd and friends he had before the move to Essex where still supporting him during his time away. At this point he knew where he belonged and would not be letting anything stop his goal to become a top mc in the East! Through his connection with strictlyDOPE he made many contacts within the circuit one of which was DJ Snakeyes of Locked On Locked In who also made him resident. This gave Barron his first insight to the BIG time due to being booked for a heavyweight lineup including artists such as Twisted Individual, Kenny Ken, Swan-E, Bad Company, Rusher & Fox with Mc’s Shabba, Eksman, Riddla ,Bassman Flux and himself. This was something worth remembering due to Eksman bringing Herbsman and Shabba bringing Yardie unexpectedly! Summer of 06 Barron teamed up with Herbalist who was also a growing Mc in the area, when the opportunity for them to go b2b is there, they take no prisoners on the dance floor showing their flare, bouncing back and forth with a lyrical display of hard worked material. The pair were spotted by another promoter within the area called Sub:Bass:Invaders owned by Mr Anderson & his brother X.n.trix, once again gaining another residency under Barrons belt. Barron has been linking with the Shadow Assassin Juiceman travelling regularly up and down the country accompanying him at raves to meet promoters and other artists. In doing so, he and Herbalist met and became close friends to Krafty Mc and DJ Baptist. To bring this East Coast and Midlands connection closer Tha Hierarchy was born! For more info on Tha Hirarchy check Top mates Barron has been booked with most of the leading artists in the game and by most of the promoters in the area one recently being Knights of the Underground who have asked Barron to join forces with them to represent their label along with Bladerunner, Vengeance, Bad Influence, Poleaxe, Deadly P, Mc Force & T.N.T So far 2007 has been the most successful year in Barron’s career as an MC with bookings frequently coming in dating up to the end of the year. Highlight of the year so far was the opportunity to mc and then gaining a residency at the legendary Rumble where Barron’s dreams of becoming an MC began, this was a goal in his eyes and now the sky is the limit for this talented young MC.
