| Cette formation a été initialement créée pour redécouvrir la musique de Booker Little, musicien talentueux et méconnu du grand public. C'est sur cette base et ce son, que le sextet s'est appuyé pour y développer les compositions du pianiste Nicolas Dri. La formation est récente et commence à se distinguer sur plusieurs scènes françaises(festivals, clubs...) Dri'mmm a enregistré récemment son premier album "Tête de Lion" qui sortira mi-Octobre. La musique du sextet est directement liée au courant jazzistique des années Soixantes.A la fois libre et chaleureuse(Coltrane,Coleman...), elle se repose également dans des climats plus "écrits" et colorés (Bill Evans, W.Shorter,quintet de Miles...) | |
