About Me |
|
| Hi folks, thanks for popping into this site and showing an interest. I write and perform Dundonian Street Poetry ranting out rhymes in the undiluted dialect which we call 'OARY'. Most of what I write is humorous wee tales and observations of growing up in the Dundee housing schemes and life in general. I began writng after winning the BBC 2 reality TV series 'SAS Are You Tough Enough? in 2001 and found I really enjoyed. Since then I've appeared on Radio 3, Radio 4, Radio Scotland and again on BBC 2 for a programme about Scottish dialects. I have written 3 books 'SAS 11 Days In A Hell Called Paradise' (covering my trials before and during the programme) also 'Gangs Of Dundee' (a history of the Dundee youth gangs) and also 'Pure Dundee' (a collection of my street poetry). I've written a couple of plays and am hoping to get them up on stage at some point. Work is continuing on other projects at the mo. I have a passion for Dundee United football Club and front a band called The Cundeez (check out their Myspace). Go spread the word - Dundeez Rockin!!!! Myspace Layouts - Myspace Editor .. |
