A few words: Vello Leaf started their musical journey back in 1999, in the south end of Greece, Chania, calling themselves "deep.insight". Formed by the current members of the band and childhood friends (Nikos Grivakis, Michalis Koulieris and Apostolis Lionoudakis), they released their debut EP "Lifepoint" in 2001. After several live performances, the band returned to the studio, this time to record their first original soundtrack for a theatrical performance, a play based on a play by Federico García Lorca. Their second EP, "distorted.images", was first released in 2003. Soon after that, the band was introduced to a larger public through magazines, e-zines, the radio and television. At the same time, they participated in a various artists collection called ‘electroPLUStic’, released by the music magazine FREEZE. Since then, the band has written music for four theatrical performances (works by Vasilis Ziogas, Loula Anagnostaki, Iakovos Kambanellis), and other music of their’s has been given as theme music to other websites and audiovisual projects. They were renamed to "Vello Leaf" in 2006, along with the presentation of their next release... the "Morning Star" EP!
