This is probably the first time I really ever posted an intro like this, so bare with me if it sounds too much like a journal, I think I'm just looking to air out some mental space. For as long as I can remember I've been this trusting person, always giving all of myself to people, and giving people the benefit of the doubt even when I felt deep down inside the results would probably more than likely NOT be in my favor. For many years I carried out friendships with individuals whom I thought were there for me, only to find out that in some way or another they were disgracing my name and speaking of there indiscretions as is if they were my own. When I came to explore the world at a very tender age, I thought that everone was like me that would take the shirt off my back for a friend and always show my loyalties to them. Well Guess What? I was wrong! It was the same individuals that I broke bread and shared my inner secrets with, that betrayed me in the worst ways possible. They'd speak of this unconditional love for me as their "SISTER", but yet envied me and played off of my down falls. I now see that the world is full of wolfs diguised in sheep's clothing!It's taken a long time for me to figure out that a TRUE friend isn't something that you can find online or in the grocery store. A friendship in my opinion is something that grows from deep within. A friendship needs to be nurtured and cared for as you would a delicate flower. Yes, it does have it's ups and downs as everything in life does, the difference is sticking by them and knowing when to listen, good, bad or indifferent. That nomatter the circumstances you should always be honest with that friend even if they won't like what you have to say. A Friend is one that is happy for your achievements and continues to encourage you to do better for you and not because it can benefit them somewhere along the line.Today I choose my friends carefully and only have a hand full. I realized that in having numerous amounts of friends/aquaintences, only makes it harder to find the mole in the crowd.And to those whom I am referring to, I know you lurk in the shadows waiting for the opportunity to destroy, I have only these words left for you.............I pray that "GOD" has mercy on your soul ! |
