Cartonnage funguje od roku 2001, kdy Armin Effenberger a Vanda Choco zacali jamovat a výsledkem byly nálady, ze kterých vznikl debut CD1. V te dobe Armin prizval al-eshe a Cartonnage byla na svete. Cd 1 bylo pokrteno 1. cervna 2004 v klubu Matrix v Praze . Následne byla Cartonnage nominována v kategorii objev roku Express radia [ Zlaté ucho].Od pocátku kapela spolupracuje s výtvarnicí Veronikou Bakosovou. Její animovaný videoklip k písni J .. apprends (Ucím se te...) uspel na nekolika mezinárodních filmových festivalech. Rezisér Dan Svátek si vybral 4 písne z CD1 do svého filmu Close to heaven. Zároven s kapelou natocil videoklip k písni Curiously Connected.Album Curiously Connected , ktere produkoval ARMIN EFFENBERGER vychazi 7.03.2008 u EMI/Escape. It began in 2001 when Armin and Vanda Choco started to record the first moods. In that time he got acquainted with Al-Esh. So band was born. They spent a lots of hours together in a recording studio working on various projects. They recorded debut CD1. CD1 was baptised in the club Matrix 1th June 2004. CD1 was nominated by the Expresradio Golden Ear in the category discovery of the year.From the beginning Cartonnage has been collaborating with the artist Veronika Bakosova. She made an animated video to the song .."J'apprends.." with which she succeeded in ANIFEST.
