| I started out as a young man in the projects who had lost his way. Gangs, jail, I was there! Drug activity, hangin out in the streets, and actin a fool was my main objective in life, until my Mother asked me to make a vow upon her death that I would change my ways. The Reverend Jesse Jackson also advised me to clean up my act and make something of myself. I obtained my GED, went on to college, and earned my Juris Doctorate Degree. Although I was first denied a license due to my criminal past, I became the youngest elected judge in the state of Michigan.Today, I am proud to serve the community in all forms of justice. Aside from my daytime show, I have started a non-profit organization (Young Adults Asserting Themselves), written a book, inspired a play, and led youth towards action on real issues. | |
