| Avril 2005... Silent Dawn nait du desir de deux amis, Nuts et Asmael, respectivement batteur et guitariste, de monter un projet oriente plus metal que ce qu'ils avaient fait auparavant. Ils sont rapidement rejoints par Nykko à la guitare rythmique, par Maiwenn au clavier et par son frere Ronan au chant. Le groupe organise son premier concert en aout 2005, sans bassiste officiel. Il faudra attendre fin 2005 pour voir arriver Eddy au poste de bassiste de SD. Le groupe evolue dans un style plus death/black, avec une forte touche symphonique, et beneficie d'inspirations tres diverses allant du pagan au prog. Cependant apres une annee de compositions et d'un unique concert , le groupe entame une periode de calme marquee par le depart de Maiwenn. Il faudra attendre mars 2006 pour que Claire prenne place au poste de clavieriste, qu..elle quittera en mars 2007. Dès lors le groupe choisira de travailler par samples, ajoutant une dimension plus electronique á sa musique. Rapidement de nouvelles compositions voient le jour , et le groupe sort son 1er EP le 27 septembre intitulé "la chute de l'ange" et pressé à 500 exemplaires. Aujourd'hui le groupe travail sur de nouvelles compositions plus dynamiques et plus "modernes", et recherchent de nombreuses dates pour promouvoir sa musique.
April 2005… Silent Dawn came from the desire of two friends, Nuts and Asmaël,
respectively drummer and guitar player – of creating a new project more metal music oriented than all they had already done before. They were quickly joined by Nykko, a rhythm guitar player, by Maiwenn, keyboarder, and finally by a singer, her brother Ronan. The band gave its first live in August 2005, without official bass player. Only at the end of the year 2005 arrived Eddy, who took the missing bass player..s job. The band then evolved in a more death/black music style, with a large symphonic stroke, and benefited from very various influences going from pagan to progressive music.
However, after a year of composing new songs and a unique live show, the band came to a standstill, unfortunately linked with the leaving of Maiwenn. The band came back to life in March 2006 with the arrival of Claire, a new keyboarder, who gave up in March 2007. From then on, the band decided to work with samplers, adding a more electronic dimension to its music. Quickly, new songs are created, and the band is now going to end the recording of the first auto produced EP: after so much hurdles, finally the last step before a so long-waited album. ... |
