As usual, I recorded it on a portable 8 track home recorder. All my recordings are HOME DEMOS to showcase my songwritting. They are not what I consider to be a finished product.On this one, I played a piano track and recorded it onto 2 tracks. I placed one track on the left, the other track on the right.I couldn't find a young violinist so I just played the violin on keyboard.The drums were recorded with one overhead mic. I recorded two seperate drum tracks and placed one on the left and one on the right. The drummer is 16 year old Taylor from Lehigh Valley.I put the vocals,bass, and violin in the center------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------------------------______________________ __________________________________________Dionne Lennon is a 14 year old singer, songwriter, guitaist, piano player and actress from NYC......................She is a top 10 finalist in American Idol's songwritting competition...........Dionne made her acting debut at age 8 in Spike Lee's film SUMMER OF SAM.................She earned film critics praise for her role as an 8 year old jaded Brittney Spears wanna-be in the film POTLUCK. (an indepandant film from HIGH TIMESmagazine) ...............................Dionne is currently enrolled in the Paul Green School of Rock in NYC. " great palce to meet serious musicians my age, and to study with some of the best musicians in NYC"........................................................ ............................................................ ...............She doesn't love you" is my tribute to the great GIRL GROUPS of the 1960's. It was recorded the same way as the others, on a Boss BR 1180 8 track . No punch in or outs. No bounce downs, or any mastering. We plug and play live. less then 5 takes per instrument. I am studying recording tchniques. I learn with each song. On this one I played guitar, piano and bass. I over dubbed 3 part harmony. This was a first for me as was the bass. I had 14 year old saxaphone player (Andy) and a 16 year old drummer.(TAYLOR) We all did the hand claps.WE set the faders for the mix and just let it run.
