Gli "Esdem" nascono nel 2002’ dall’incontro tra Simone P. (ex-Ibicus Quintet) e Tomaso Muzzetto (ex-Divinia),la band si consolida subito con il bassista Simone Viburni (anche lui ex-Divinia).
La band produce e macina,demo,intuizioni,firma un contratto di co-produzione con la RedHouse Recordings di Devid Lenci,arriva alle selezioni finali per il M.E.I a Pastrengo,archivia un numero consistente di recensioni a dir poco favorevoli e vince "Kosarock" concorso nazionale.
Nel 2003 l’inedito "Danza Silente" cantato da Alessandra Farabollini (ex-Diabolico Coupè) viene inserito nella "Samigo Compilation", dove gli "Esdem" vengono definiti come uno dei gruppi emergenti più promettenti del panorama nazionale.
Sempre nel 2003 gli "Esdem" ,vincono "Sotterranea Altre-Tendenze" (Simone P. premio miglior strumentista), dove gli addetti ai lavori parlano di una Band di gran lunga superiore alle altre.
Seguono poi prolifiche collaborazione con musicisti del territorio nazionale,Maro Bassi (Ibicus Quintet),Emanuele Tartuferi (Diabolico Coupè),Nicola Pallotto (Noctifer),Laura Tamburini (Violinista da orchestra),Fabio Gattari (Percussionista) .
"L’erba della Strega" portale dark , definisce il demo "Notte Silente" come un capolavoro,Igor Tosi scrive di un gruppo dal futuro stimolante e di sicuro interesse,"Goo" (giornalista opinionista) nella sua rubrica parlando degli "Esdem" afferma "...Kraftwerk, Notwist, Death in Vegas,praticamente si va dal "Post Rock" all’elettro dalla minimal all’industrial...alla fine si è risucchiati in un vortice e si finisce per girare nel cerchio,quello creato dagli "Esdem";quello di una dimensione parallela..."***********************************************

The band produced demo, intuitions, signed a contract of co-production with David Lenci’s Red House Recordings , arrived to final selection for the M.E.I (Indipendent Recording Meeting) in Pastrengo, received a lot of good recensions and won "Kosarock 2003" national prize for emergent bands.
In 2003 the unedited "Danza Silente" sang by Alessandra Farabollini (ex Diabolico Coupè) is inserted in the "Samigo Compilation", where the ESDEM were defined as one of most interesting emergent bands in the national view.
In 2003 too, the ESDEM won "Sotterranea Altre Tendenze Festival" (Simone P. won the better strumentalist prize), here too with good recensions received.
