Controlllo_D.V.Q_08 Aggiungi al mio profilo | altri Video Video realizzato da Sintesi19 ENGLISH VERSION: DVQ project (DorothiVulgarQuestions) was given light at the end of 2005 thanks to a group of musicians from Colle Val d'Elsa: Alessandro Grassini (vocals; guitar), Marco Provvedi (bass; vocals), Alessandro Tucci (guitar; vocals), Matteo Lotti (drums), Nico Bottiglioni (guitar; keyboards; effects). The first work produced is the self- titled mini album "DorthiVulgarQuestions" recorded and mixed at Associazione Mosaico's studio in 2006. The six tracks contained (La Macchia; Senza Scuse; Red Flower; Le Occasioni; Schermo Ultrapiatto; No Metafisica) outline the band's sound and its influences, which range from post-punk and 80's new wave to the grunge aesthetic of the next decade, embracing forty years of rock history through Velvet Underground, Joy Divivsion, Sonic Youth, CCCP... The debut album, ( lead by the radio only promo Coprimi/When Your Body Talks) is to be released early 2008 (release party and concert 12th January 2008 @ Sonar music club, Colle Val d'Elsa) and will count ten brand new tracks with lyrics in both Italian and English. The DVQ sound evolves and takes form in these new songs by combining the spontaneous and caustic nature of the previous work with a fresh take on psychedelic experimentation. Despite the varied character of the tracks the style that emerges is built upon powerful guitars and obsessive rhythms mixed with more linear melodies, arpeggi and guitar noise. ITALIAN VERSION: Il progetto DVQ (dorothivulgarquestions), nasce alla fine del 2005, su iniziativa di alcuni musicisti di Colle Val d’Elsa: Alessandro Grassini (voce, chitarra), Marco Provvedi (basso, voce), Alessandro Tucci (chitarra, voce), Matteo Lotti (batteria), Nico Bottiglioni (chitarra, tastiere, effetti). Il primo lavoro prodotto è il miniLP “DorothiVulgarQuestions” registrato e mixato allo studio Associazione Mosaico nel 2006, contenente sei brani (La macchia, Senza scuse, Red flower, Le occasioni, Schermo ultrapiatto, No metafisica), nei quali si intravede il sound del gruppo, chiari i riferimenti alla scena post punk e new wave degli anni ’80, ma anche al grunge del decennio successivo, un lavoro di sintesi musicale, che abbraccia quarant’anni di musica rock, passando per Velvet Underground, Joy Division, Sonic Youth, CCCP... L’album di debutto, anticipato dal promo radiofonico (Coprimi-When your body talks) arriverà all’inizio del 2008 ( presentazione con live show il 12 gennaio 2008 al Sonar di Colle Val d’Elsa) e conterrà dieci brani inediti con liriche in italiano ed inglese equamente distribuite. Il suono dei DVQ, si definisce in queste nuovi brani, che uniscono all’immediatezza e alla ruvidità del lavoro precedente, una maggiore propensione verso sonorità psichedeliche. Nonostante l’eterogeneità delle canzoni, emerge comunque uno stile fatto di potenza chitarristica e di ritmica ossessiva, mescolate con melodie più lineari, arpeggi e guitar noise.
