An accomplished TV host and actress, Marisol first entered the entertainment scene in her native town of Miami, Florida as a trained dancer/choreographer and has quickly made her mark as a multi-talented performer and business woman. She has been featured on various programs, including The Roof, Latination, Miami Ink, Wild on E! South Beach, and countless others. In addition, Marisol has worked with numerous recording artists, club venues, and television programs. In 2005 - 2006 Marisol also hosted major mobile television shows including Barrio 305 on Sprint MobilTV and Viva Vision on Verizon Vcast, both centered on Latin urban music and culture. On these programs, she covered events and conducted interviews with some of the biggest names in Latin and Urban Entertainment, bringing her energetic and magnetic personality to light. In addition, Marisol has also done various commercials for Latin Networks including, MTV Tres and Mega TV in South Florida. In 2006, Marisol was selected by YO! Television (http://www.youngurbanlatino.com), an NYC-based new media production company designed to create television and mobile content for Young Latino Americans. With YO!, Marisol co-hosted and co-produced two series pilots entitled, Mi Barrio and Crunkiao. While exploring her talents in 2007, Marisol chose to tap into the world of radio hosting by co-hosting “Jam Zone”, a hip hop urban radio show on Miami’s largest hip hop internet radio station, W305.COM. In 2008, Marisol was selcted as host for the nationally syndicated "Mike Sherman Show" airing in South Florida on My Channel 33. Having received her Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Miami, she uses her social skills and outgoing personality to bring out the "real sides" of individuals . In my opinion, “If an interviewer has the right approach, they can get individuals to really open up, relax, and be their TRUE SELVES". This is when the audience can get a glimpse of the real person, and not only the celebrity" Marisol is currently looking to advance her career in TV hosting and production by collaborating with various production companies. Live it, express it, love it, you will become it... My first outlet of expression was dance. I've been dancing since I was a little girl. Its always been my therapy, my cure for anything. Then I discovered that I could do what I love as means to live. I remember how incredible I felt when i first realized this, because dancing was always something I did simply for the love of it. What a great feeling when you get paid to do what makes you the happiest/ When I'm dancing, I'm in another world, nothing else matters and I am one with the music. As I matured, I realized my potential to spread my creativity into other areas. With this came modeling, TV hosting, and now production. Everyday , i learn more about myself and what I'm capable of. This process of self discovery is one the most exciting and rewarding feelings. It doesn't take a lot for me to be content, I just need people around me that make me happy, make me laugh, and i can trust. CREATIVE people that I can talk to on a deeper level, and love music like I do. This is what attracts me most. I love my friends for that, we are simple people, with complex visions. |
