Profile Generator You have been marked on my profile map! - Joakim Oke - was born in 17th of January 1984, in South-Finland. Joa has two sisters, two half-brothers, Mom and Dad, Though they divorced when Joa was six years old. Joa started to write music when he was a teenager, just around 13 to 16 years old.Ever since then music has been a huge thing in Joa’s life, as art itself. He experience his emotions through music, like he’d say, "I breathe music, it’s a huge part of my soul, my life. I go through all my emotions with it, I think about music every single day.All my songs tells about love, the longing for love, the great feeling of being in love, the crushing feeling if you lose your love etc. To me music as all the other art forms are always a matter of love and emotions."All the things, all the emotions Joa can’t express with music, he expresses them through painting. Joa paints oil-paintings, using lots of colours and he prefer an abstract way of style, ’cause, (in his own words), "With an abstract painting style I can express all my deep feelings to canvas so easily. It allows me to be creative and free, there’s no boundaries. Though I’m an amateur, but I’d like to keep it that way ’cause I believe that’s the only way I can truly be free and creative, ’cause to me painting is always a matter of emotions, not just skills.An abstract way is also so great ’cause people can see different kinds of things in those kind of paintings, for example, someone feels deep emotions like I do and the otherhand someone else sees something more concrete. And when it happens, when I can make people feel emotions, any emotions at all for that matter, it’s always a huge bliss to me and if someone discovers the same feelings that I’ve felt during the work, then that person can really understand what I’m expressing, or I might say, shouting through the painting." ...That's me in a nutshell... |
